Description

Motul DOT4 RBF 660 Racing Brake Fluid

100% Synthetic Fluid - DOT 4

For brake and clutch control

Very high boiling point : 328°C/622°F

For all hydraulic brake and clutch control systems where a silicone-free synthetic fluid is recommended.

Specially designed to withstand the very high temperatures of hydraulic controls for racing brakes (steel or carbon) and clutches. Also exceeds DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 standards, except for the viscosity at -40°C of DOT 5.1.

PERFORMANCE

STANDARDS: FMVSS 116 DOT 4 / SAE J 1703

Extremely high thermal resistance and stability:

The very high boiling point (328°C / 622°F) of MOTUL RBF 660 FACTORY LINE is higher than conventional DOT 5.1 (260°C / 500°F min.) and DOT 4 (230°C / 446°F min.) fluids, and therefore maintains braking efficiency even when the brakes are under extreme load. Improved aerodynamic performance of cars by reducing brake cooling air inlets.

Wet weather efficiency:

The very high wet boiling point (204°C / 399°F) of MOTUL RBF 660 FACTORY LINE is higher than conventional DOT 5.1 (180°C / 356°F min.) and DOT 4 (155°C / 311°F min.) fluids, and therefore maintains braking efficiency in wet weather. DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluids have the property of absorbing moisture from the air, which lowers the boiling point and increases the risk of the "vapor lock" phenomenon. The wet boiling point is measured after moistening the product with 3% water.

ADVICE FOR USE

Avoid mixing with polyglycol based brake fluids of lower performance. Do not mix with mineral (LHM) and silicone (DOT 5 silicone base) based fluids. Chemical product aggressive to hands, paints and varnishes.

In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly.
